Kathy Walker

Kathy Walker started obedience training and showing in 1980 with a rescue Siberian Husky and then a rescue Doberman Pinscher, both of whom earned Companion Dog Titles. In 1983 she bought her 1st puppy: a Border Collie. She immediately fell in love with the breed and has trained and shown several since that time. She has also loved and shown a very special Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a comical little French Bulldog.

Over the years, she has studied under numerous world renowned trainers, such as Janice Demello, Patty Ruzzo, Judy Howard, Janet Lewis, Sheila Booth, and Sylvia Bishop, Terri Arnold and Bridget Carlsen.

Kathy began as a member of the Somerset County 4-H Dog Project in the early 80’s. She then went on to teach for the Dog Project from 1984-1999. She has also taught for Town & Country DTC (1987-1992), Staten Island CDC (1992-2007), and Princeton DTC (1992-2008).

Kathy and her dogs also participate in pet therapy with TDI, herding and scent work.

Kathy is also an approved AKC obedience and scent work judge.
